First Day of 1st Grade

Today Brylie started 1st grade!  I really cannot believe my baby is old enough to be a first grader!  Mitchell and I are so very proud of her as she is in the Gifted and Talented class!  Her teacher's name is Mrs. Ratcliff and from what we have heard she is an EXCELLENT teacher.  She has won several awards including Hardin County Teacher of the Year, Walmart Teacher of the Year, Lumberton Teacher of the Year, and some others.  Brylie's best friend Mya is in her class as well.  Brylie and Mya also attend church together on Wednesday's and Sunday's.  I think this is going to be a great school year!

1st Grade Meet The Teacher

Today was "Meet the Teacher" for Brylie.  She is in Mrs. Ratcliff's Gifted/Talented Class.  We have heard amazing things about Mrs. Ratcliff and are excited for Brylie to be in the GT Class.  This is a great achievement for her!  Here are the pics of her at Meet the Teacher.  She said she was nervous of course so she wouldn't let me take any more pictures.  I love her "nervous" look in this first picture, it is Brylie to a "T".

Happy Birthday Brylie!

I cannot believe my baby is 6 years old!  We all had a BLAST at her party!  We even got to see family we haven't seen in a while which made even more special.  The highlight of the party was the water slide we rented.  It was 24 FEET TALL!  You go down inside a see-through tunnel, corkscrew around, and shoot out into a pool at the bottom.  It was incredibly fast!  We had it all day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday so by the time they picked it up we had invented every way possible to go down.  The grown ups even had our own party Saturday night until 2 in the morning.  We will definitely be getting a water slide at least once a month from now on.

Brylie and her friends all did really well at the slumber party.  There was not even any arguing or crying to go home.  They all played on the water slide until about 10 p.m so by the time I finally made them come in they were EXHAUSTED!  All in all it was a FANTASTIC weekend!

More pictures and a video to come soon.  By the way...Mitchell decorated the cake!
