Last weekend MiMi came into town for a visit. We decided to go to Gator Country just outside of Beaumont. It is an entire farm of alligators. When we first got there they started to feed the alligators for the first time since November. I had no idea that they actually hibernate and don't eat for 3-4 months. They moved very slow because their body temp was still very low. The tour guide told us that by the middle of March they can jump half their body length out of the water to catch their food. The guy doing the tour/show is actually the host of a show on CMT and another show on Animal Planet. He has also been in MythBusters. We learned all about alligators and snakes. It was very educational. We even had the chance to hold and pet some of them. The farm is also the home to "Big Al", the largest alligator in captivity anywhere in the U.S. He is over 75 years old and let me tell you he is BIG! We had a really good time!

Busy Weekend
This weekend we definitely didn't have a problem keeping busy! Saturday we went to Jessye's birthday at Chuckie Cheese and then we went to Jory and Elena's house that evening. Jared brought Kylie over so the girls had a nice time playing. Sunday we went to church and then Brylie and I went to a birthday party at the bowling alley. When we got back we headed to the park for a play date with friends. (Jared, Kylie, Elena, Jory, Peyton, Jessica, Lanie, Tiffany, Addison, and Hudson.) By tonight the girls were definitely ready for bed!

Story Time
Today I took Katy to Story Time at the library here in Lumberton. She had a really good time and met quite a few little friends her age. They read stories, sang songs, and even got to decorate cupcakes. We will definitely be going back. Although Brylie missed out on story time (she of course was in school) she did get her very first library card. She’s been to the library in Burleson lots of times but she was never old enough to have her own card. Now she is now officially of legal age to check out books.
Party Like A Rockstar!
And we did just that. We had the privilege of being on the guest list of a friend's private party at Madison's. (Madison's is a neat restaurant/bar in Beaumont). The guy throwing the party is a good friend of Jared's and let me tell you he is LOADED! We have partied with him once before for Jared's birthday and I just thought he went all out for that occasion lol. This time he rented out nearly the entire lower level of Madison's and stocked it with loads of food and FREE alcohol for all. He even had private bartenders just for the party. As you can see in the pictures it was complete with 2 enormous ice sculptures one of each playing team. We got to "watch" the game on a ginormous screen. I say it like that because of course Elena and I had nothing to do with watching the game. We did actually enjoy a few drinks though and had a great time none the less!
