Here Comes Santa Claus

Last night the girls got a really big surprise...Santa came to see them.  We were just sitting in the living room when we heard sirens getting closer and closer to the house.  We went outside just in time to see Santa and 2 of his elves riding down the street on a fire truck.  They were just riding around the neighborhoods throwing candy canes to all the kids that came outside.  Brylie told Katy that he was checking to see if they were being good lol.  I am really starting to love this little town.  They always have so much going on for the girls.

Exploring the Park

Today we decided to go and check out one of the parks in town.  The scenery at the park was really beautiful and it was very peaceful and quiet.  They even have a great pond to feed the ducks.

Zoo Trip

Nothing makes a perfect Fall day any better than a trip to the Zoo! We met up with Grandma and Grandpa first thing this morning and had a really great time at the Zoo. By the time we were done the girls were sooo tired! As I was pulling the wagon through the parking lot to the car, poor Katy couldn’t take anymore…she fell over head first into Brylie’s lap and pasted smooth out! They both slept in the car all the way to Aunt Ammie’s. Katy even slept another 2 hours once we got there to see baby Carson.

Last "trip" to Lumberton

We made our final trip to Lumberton this weekend. I can’t believe the next time we come we will be moving here. We had a great time this weekend with friends and family. We got to spend the first of many Sunday’s watching football with Jory, Jared, Lucas, and Elena. Actually, Elena and I didn’t watch a bit of football. We instead spent the day shopping and dying our hair lol. On Monday we got to take Brylie to check out her new school. She is so excited! The school is only Kindergarten and First Grade and each of those grades have their own entire building. In between the buildings are the shared portables for music, art, computer lab, etc. The Kindergarten building was super cute! There was artwork by the plenty hanging from every inch of wall and ceiling space possible! We didn’t get to meet Brylie’s teacher yet since they didn’t know what class she would be in yet. On her first day we are suppose to bring her 45 minutes after school starts so that she can get her “royal” welcome with out the craziness of settling in for the morning. She cannot wait to start and meet new friends.

This weekend Papa and Lola were keeping the girl’s cousin Jake at the house as well. The girl’s had a really good time with him. Katy got to stay the remainder of the week and Jake will be there for the week too. They get some extra bonding time together. They are so precious but definitely 2 and often jealous of one another!

Halloween

Good ol’ Halloween! I absolutely love this holiday! The girls were so stinkin’ cute in their costumes! Brylie was Hannah Montana and Katy was a kitten. Yes I know Katy was originally suppose to be Hannah Montana too but after seeing Brylie in the leopard costume the other day she changed her mind on me last minute….this morning! Good thing this Mommy is creative and can think on her toes! I whipped up a tutu to add to the outfit and painted her face accordingly and TADA….the cutest kitty cat you’ve ever seen! Katy was finally old enough to get the hang of trick or treating which made it that more fun. She was so funny running up to the doors trying to beat Brylie. If she knocked and there was no answer she would hang her head and say, “No one’s home.” A few times she would knock and then shout, “Hello” in hopes of them answering quicker. She refused to put any of her candy in her bag right away. She would hold it in her clinched fists until she couldn’t hold another piece and would finally give in and put it in her bag. Then she would begin to fill her hands again. Brylie was of course a Halloween pro this year. She filled Katy in on the tricks of the trade lol.
